It's the 7th Generation classic saltwater spinning reel, the Penn Spinfisher SSVII Spinning Reel Series. Featuring the same full metal body, sideplate, techno balanced rotor, same great HT100 sealed Slammer Drag, IPX5 water resistance rating, handle and bail.
The Spinfisher VII (7th Generation of the Classic) features a gearing upgrade. Now all sizes from 2500 to 10500 have all brass gearing, both main and pinion gear! Also there is an added bearing (now 6 shielded stainless steel ball bearings, SSVI had 5) and these new reels have spools that feature Penn's new line clip design with a pressure plate to hold light to heavy lines from 6# to 80#. With drags ranging from 15-50# these spinning reels cover any and all saltwater fishing tasks.
The PENN Spinfisher VII series features IPX5 sealing so whether it gets hit with a wave, or you let it ride in the spray all the way home, you don't have to worry about saltwater getting into the gearbox or drag system. The HT-100 drag washers are housed in a fully sealed spool to give the stopping power needed for big saltwater fish. A Full Metal Body and sideplate keep the all brass CNC Gear System in precise alignment under heavy loads.
The Spinfisher VII is available in standard, Live Liner, Long Cast and Bail-less models.
